Selling your vehicle expectations

When ever we have something to sell, we want to get top dollar.

When we are buying something, we want the lowest price.

Not very often do those two visions meet. When we are the seller, we have the emotional connection to what we are selling and feel it is the best thing ever. We tend to over look the few dents and dings here and there.

But if you step back and look at the vehicle as the buyer, those little love taps here and there are more reason to offer less for that vehicle. Wear and tear on the inside adds up too. Those things we have just come to accept as the personality of our vehicle are the things the peson looking to purchase doesn't appreciate.

Your vehicle is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Given time, you might find that person that agrees with you and will pay the full price that you are asking for it. But do you have the time to wait?

Be realistic when coming up with the price you want or need. Stand back and be objective and take your love for the vehicle out of it. Look at what the Car Fax and NADA say the vehicle is worth. This will help you to come up with that inital price, and have something to back up were your pricing came from.
